Rome Mythology Family Tour at Glance
There's no better place to start learning about Roman myths and legends than the Capitoline Hill, one of the most important of the Seven Hills of ancient Rome. From the Temple of Jupiter, Father of all the Gods to Piazza del Campidoglio, this fascinating and mysterious timeless hill has many stories to tell. Travel through time as you hear the legend of the foundation of Rome and see the wolf suckling the famous twins, Romulus and Remus.
Next up is the Piazza della Rotonda square, where the Pantheon Rome’s 2000-year-old temple dedicated to the Roman Gods is located. Learn the storied history and lesser-known facts behind the best-preserved temple of the ancient world. Your guide brings this iconic site to life through expert commentary, local insight and entertaining anecdotes.
Piazza Navona Rome’s most celebrated square comes next; here the Baroque age explodes with Bernini's spectacular Four Rivers Fountain that depicts Gods of the four great rivers in the four continents. The Trevi Fountain celebrating mythological figures related to the water and the ocean is next. The most enduring - and maybe the quirkiest - legend about Rome is that throwing a coin into the Trevi Fountain will ensure your return to the Eternal City.
