Welcome to Venice!

Arrive in beautiful Venice and absorb the breathtaking scenery as you transfer to your hotel by private water taxi. The balance of the day is at your leisure.

Day 2

Cicchetti, Wine Tasting & Gondola Ride

This Venetian-style walk provides excellent insight into the real Venice far from the crowds in Piazza San Marco. You will get a glimpse of the daily life of the city as you follow your friendly and knowledgeable guide on an off-the-beaten-track tour of some local hideaways that you might not find on your own. The objective is to munch on some really delectable local snacks - the Venetians call them cicchetti - with little glasses of wine known as ombre. Your unforgettable gastronomic tour of Venice's hidden corners will culminate with a private gondola ride. The rest of the day is at leisure.

Day 3

Murano Island Tour

Discover Venice’s world-famous island of Murano since the 1200s for the art of glassmaking and learn about its importance in history and trade. In the company of your guide, you'll visit an exclusive glass factory and have a demonstration of how the intricate glasswork is made before re-boarding your luxury water taxi to the hotel. Day 4

Private Transfer to Florence via Bologna

Your personal assistant will meet you at your hotel and accompany you by private boat to Venice's parking lot. There, a private driver will pick you up and accompany you to your hotel in Florence stopping in Bologna for a private walking tour. Located about halfway between Venice and Florence, Bologna is a real treat for foodies. The guided tour makes a great introduction to this historic town with ample opportunities for walking through the miles of covered porticoes and sampling delicious food and wine. Day 5

Hands-on Private Cooking Class & Market Shopping

Accompanied by your personal chef, your experience will begin by exploring the labyrinth of food stalls in a classic Florentine market, shopping for the day’s meal the same way the locals do. The cooking class is held in the chef’s family kitchen, and once you enter his elegant home, right in the heart of Florence, you feel as if he has invited you to dinner. The twist is you get to cook. Under his expert guidance you will create fresh handmade pasta and a range of mouth-watering regional specialties that you can savor at the end of the class accompanied by white, red and dessert wines.

Day 6

Truffle Hunting in Tuscany

Experience a real Tuscan truffle hunt by taking part in our full-day culinary expedition to the little hill town of San Gimignano in the very heart of the Tuscan countryside. You will meet a trifolaio (truffle hunter) and learn about the area's food traditions and local truffle varieties. Then, armed with this knowledge and accompanied by the trifolaio and his trained truffle dogs, you'll head out on your very own search for these precious (and pricey!) underground mushrooms. The truffle hunt experience concludes with a truffle based light lunch before returning to your hotel.

Day 7

Departure from Florence on 1st Class High Speed Train to Rome & Eco Golf Cart Tour of Rome

Your driver will accompany you to Florence's train station for a high-speed train to Rome. At the station in Rome you will be met by your driver for a private transfer to your hotel. Day 8

Enter the Vatican before the Official Opening Hours & Learn to Cook a Roman Meal

On an exclusive early morning private tour, you will visit the Sistine Chapel and Vatican Museums at their best, without the notoriously large crowds. After your breathtaking first entry experience inside the Sistine Chapel, your expert guide will lead you straight to St. Peters’ Basilica. Day 10

Rome Departure - Arriverderci!

Time to bid goodbye to Italy. Transfer privately to Rome airport for your flight home. If you are not yet ready to go home, we can help spending extra nights on the Amalfi Coast or even adding more dedicated foodie time in Venice, Florence and Rome (optional). The choice is yours and we would be happy to design your trip as you wish.
