  • Due to rainfall and landslides, the roads near the sea are often closed in winter and early spring, while the pedestrian tracks that run higher up are almost always open.

  • We recommend wearing comfortable seasonal clothing and closed-toe shoes.
  • During summer, expect high temperatures. Bring sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat.

What to pack for Cinque Terre from Florence full day tour?

Is the Path of Love open?

The Via dell’Amore, or Path of Love trail is closed approximately till May 2024. Currently only the first 200 meters (650 ft) are open (from the Manarola side).

Best time of year to visit Cinque Terre?

The best time to visit the Cinque Terre is May or September. These two months generally offer minimal crowds and mild sunny weather. The wintertime, from November to February, is characterized by cold weather and some amenity closures.
