Florence Private Walking Tour

During this Florence private walking tour you will enter the renowned Accademia Gallery, home to Michelangelo's famous sculpture David, as well as his other masterpieces. You will also enjoy an outdoor guided tour of some of the city top sights including the Duomo Complex, Ponte Vecchio Bridge and much more. As we stroll along the historic streets and squares of the old town, we will discuss the ideas of the Renaissance and the lives of many important artists and Florentine families, like the Medici’s, who showered Florence with countless masterpieces.

Visit the Accademia Gallery

Top of the must-see list for many visitors, the Accademia Gallery usually has long lines that can stretch for hours. With skip the line access we get straight inside so you won’t waste a precious moment with your guide. Here, our experienced guide will reveal the history and meaning behind Michelangelo’s David. Although this eternal masterpiece is the star attraction, you will explore Michelangelo’s unfinished ‘Slaves’ and listen to your guide whilst pointing out the little details that tell us so much about how this great Renaissance master worked.

Explore Piazza della Signoria and Ponte Vecchio

A short walk through the beautiful streets in the heart of Florence leads to the medieval Piazza della Signoria with the sculpture masterpieces of Loggia dei Lanzi and the impressive Palazzo Vecchio with the crenellated tower of Arnolfo, one of the famous symbols of the city. You’ll hear the stories behind the stunning sculptures and see the original spot where Michelangelo’s David once stood along with an exact replica of the work. The wonderful prospective of the Uffizi Gallery opens onto the square, and from there we proceed with a visit of the celebrated Ponte Vecchio, the oldest surviving bridge crossing the river Arno where colorful jewelry stores line the cobbled street.

Discover Piazza del Duomo

We’ll conclude our Florence private walking tour visiting another Florentine show-stopper, the magnificent Piazza del Duomo. Gaze at Giotto’s Bell Tower, marvel at the Baptistery’s Bronze Doors and the Porta del Paradiso, the Cathedral with the magnificent Cupola by Brunelleschi, which is possibly the largest Dome ever built. So large it needed a brand new method of engineering to construct it, Il Duomo is the most iconic sight of Florence, visible from every high point in the city. Your guide will introduce you to the Dome from outside, admiring its beautiful red brick and the pink and green marble that cover the Cathedral.
