Overview

The legendary Hotel Caruso (its fans have included Greta Garbo, Jackie Kennedy, Humphrey Bogart, and Virginia Woolf) started in 1893 as Pantaleone Caruso’s small pensione. Now this luxurious hotel has 50 sea views rooms, most with balconies and with private gardens. Each one of the 50 beautifully appointed rooms exudes its own unique style and is comprised of sumptuous furnishings and modern comforts.

The hotel’s restaurant makes the best of the views, and serves traditional Neapolitan cuisine and regional Italian dishes, incorporating fresh ingredients from the herb garden and vegetable plot. There’s a heated infinity pool worthy of the name, complete with dreamy views that sweep across all corners of the Amalfi Coast. The hotel’s complimentary shuttle bus connects with the local towns of Positano and Amalfi.

Good to Know: The property closes for the winter season and reopens in the spring.
